Research Interest: The novel functions of
calcineurin B subunit (CnB) in the activation of innate immunity and in cancer
treatment. We have identified the integrin αM as a new receptor of CnB on
macrophage and revealed how this receptor mediates CnB-triggered anti-tumor
activity. We also showed that CnB protein can synergize with inteferon-γ to
skew tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) to an anti-tumor phenotype (M1
phenotype) and to enhance inteferon-γ- mediated tumoricidal activity. So far, I
mainly focus on the molecular mechanisms of necroptosis (a new form of
programmed cell death). We are trying to reveal new modulators in the regulation
of necroptotic pathway, and to reveal the roles and mechanisms of necroptosis
in tumorgenisis and metastasis
