Serhat Koçyiğit, born on August 18, 1988, is currently serving as a lecturer at Bingöl University's Central Laboratory Application and Research Center. He began his educational journey at Gazi University, where he completed his undergraduate and non-thesis master's degrees in the Department of Chemistry Education. He later pursued his master's and doctoral degrees in the Department of Advanced Technologies at Gazi University.

Koçyiğit started his career as a Youth Leader at the Ministry of Youth and Sports before founding his own sole proprietorship, gaining valuable entrepreneurial experience. Since 2019, he has been working as a lecturer at Bingöl University. Throughout his academic career, he has authored numerous scientific articles published in prestigious journals and presented papers at national and international conferences.

His research interests include the production and characterization of graphene-doped thermoelectric nanocomposite materials, metal oxide-based thermoelectric nanocomposites, and bio-based solutions. He has been involved in several projects as a principal investigator and researcher, supported by programs such as The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkiye (TUBİTAK), Ministry of Science-Republic of Turkiye.
