Dr. Raúl González-García M.D., Ph.D, FEBOMFS, is an Oral and Maxilllofacial-Head and Neck Surgeon in Spain. He works as Consultant Surgeon at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Hospital Universitario de La Princesa, Madrid (Spain) and in Private Practice at the Hospital Nuestra Señora del Rosario, Madrid (Spain) and Hospital Quirónsalud Clideba, Badajoz (Spain). He has been Honorary Collaborator of the University of Extremadura (UEx) School of Medicine, and has been credited in 2014 by the ANECA as Profesor Contratado Doctor, Profesor Colaborador Doctor and Profesor de Universidad Privada. He is Doctor in Medicina y Cirugía (PhD Degree in Medicine and Surgery) by the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM) (2011) con la calificación Sobresaliente Cum Laude con opción a Premio Extraordinario. He is Editor-in-Chief of Plastic and Aesthetic Research, Editor-in-Chief of Revista Española de Cirugía Oral y Maxilofacial, Associate Editor of Stomatological Disease and Science, Permanent Member of the Reviewer Committee of International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in the section of TMJ Surgery, Contributing Editor of Current Research in Dentistry, and Member of the Editorial Board/reviewer of more than 35 international journals of the speciality. He obtained the Award as Best Oral and Maxillofacial Resident Surgeon in 2007. He is International Member of the American Society of Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Surgeons (ASTMJS) (since 2009), Active Member of the European Society of TMJ Surgeons (ESTMJS) (since 2014), Faculty Member of S.O.R.G Academy in the section of TMJ (since 2018). He is also Fellow of the European Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (FEBOMFS) (since 2010), Miembro Permanente del Consejo Editorial Nacional de Revista Española de Cirugía Oral y Maxilofacial (desde 2008), Miembro Permanente del Reviewer Commitee of International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery en la sección de TMJ Surgery; and Miembro Numerario de la Sociedad Española de Cirugía Oral y Maxilofacial (SECOM) (since 2007). He has been invited lecturer in 30 International/National congresses and courses of the speciality. He obtained his MD at the Autónoma University of Madrid School of Medicine (UAM) (2001). He is author of more than 160 publications, more than 110 of them in Medline/PubMed-indexed (JCR) journals, 16 chapters in books of the speciality and he is author of the Speciality text book "Reconstrucción Maxilomandibular Compleja: Microcirugía, Distracción Ósea e Implantes dentales" (ISBN: 978-84-9835-608-3).
