I am an Associate Professor in the Petroleum and Chemical Engineering
Program at Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB), with prior experience as a Professor
at Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) from 2010 to 2022. My research focuses on
wastewater treatment and valorization, particularly using microbial fuel cells
(MFC) and photocatalytic technology, alongside developing catalysts for CO2
conversion and biodiesel production. I have secured over 2 million MYR in
funding, received an international grant from the Newton Research Collaboration
Programme, and led the Reaction Engineering group at UMP from 2013 to 2019. I
have supervised over 23 postgraduate students, published more than 180 journal
papers, and hold 16 patents. My teaching experience includes transport
phenomena, chemical reaction engineering, mass transfer, heat transfer, and
electrochemical engineering. I am a Chartered Engineer with IChemE and a Fellow
of the Bangladesh Institution of Engineers (IEB).
Research Interest: Microbial fuel cell and other biological processes.
