Claudia Florida Costea was born in 1977. In 2003,
she was awarded the degree of Medical Doctor of General Medicine by “Grigore T.
Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Iași, Romania. In 2005, she became
resident Medical Doctor in Ophthalmology at “Prof.Dr.Nicolae Oblu” Clinical
Emergency Hospital of Iași, Romania. In 2005, she became Assistant Professor of
Ophthalmology at “Grigore T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Iași,
Romania. In 2018, she became Senior Lecturer, MD, PhD, of Ophthalmology at
“Grigore T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Iași, Romania,
position acquired by competition. In 2020, she became Associate professor, MD,
PhD, of Ophthalmology at “Grigore T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy
of Iași, Romania, position acquired by competition. Conducting courses and
practical works for students enrolled in programs taught in Romanian, English
and French Scientific research activity. In 2022, she became Professor, MD,
PhD, of Ophthalmology at “Grigore T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy
of Iași, Romania, position acquired by competition.
Since 2018 till in the present she has been Senior
ophthalmologist at “Prof.Dr.Nicolae Oblu” Clinical Emergency Hospital of Iași,
Romania.
She was also awarded the degree of PhD of Medicine
by “Grigore T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Iași, Romania. Here
are her areas of research expertise: eye and orbital tumors, ocular-orbital
injuries, neuro-ophthalmology, and anterior eye segment surgery. She has
published 445 scientific papers.
She is reviewer for 8 international scientific
journals and Editorial board member of 9 international scientific journals.
