From 08.01.02 to 02.02.04 Consultant Gastroenterologist at the Dept. of Internal Medicine San Maurizio Regional Hospital, Bolzano/Bozen, South Tyrol, ITALY.

During this period, I participated on the on call rota in Internal Medicine (more than 60 beds), and was involved in the treatment of both inpatients and outpatients with gastroenterological, cardiological, endocrinological and diabetic disease.

Research Interest: Collection of data on hepatocellular carcinoma within the framework of the national working group ITALICA, which brings together the major national centres dealing with liver cancer pathology

Research projects on autoimmune liver diseases within the framework of the establishment of the national network of Autoimmune Liver Diseases

Research projects with the Paracelsus Medical University in Salzburg (Prof Elmar Aigner - Internal Medicine/Gastroenterology); Multicentre collaborative study on hepatic steatofibrosis in metabolic diseases and patients with diabetes mellitus treated with antidiabetic drugs

Study of residual liver function in hepatocarcinoma patients in surgical and locoregional HCC treatment
