I am a MD PhD, Assistant Professor at the Internal Medicine and Rheumatology Clinic of the Dr. I. Cantacuzino Clinical Hospital, Clinical Department of University of Medicine and Pharmacy Carol Davila of Bucharest, since October 2014, as well as a Rheumatology Consultant. In my everyday practice, I see patients with rheumatic illnesses of various types, including autoimmune and autoinflammatory disorders. I oversee a team of four residents, guiding and involving them in making the precise diagnosis and management of chronic rheumatic diseases, providing them with hands-on musculoskeletal ultrasonography training, and encouraging and supporting them in writing articles and giving presentations on numerous topics in our specialty.

Joyfully choosing the Rheumatology specialty in 2011 following the Residency exam,My main research activity is the follow-up of pregnancies in patients with Rheumatoid Diseases. From the first year of residency, this plan was realized, by entering the Doctoral School by examination (doctoral student with scholarship – University of Medicine and Pharmacy Carol Davila) having as the title of his doctoral thesis "Fertility, pregnancy and disease evolution in women diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis". The paper analysed the evolution of pregnancies in patients from the Rheumatology and Internal Medicine Clinic of the Dr. I. Cantacuzino Hospital, as well as from other university centres in Bucharest or in the country, with the support of rheumatology colleagues, who were fully open to participate in the study. The PhD thesis was finished in July 2017, and the study was pilot, being the first study at the national level in this area up to that point. During my PhD years I also participate in a POSDRU project mobility plan – two-week internship in rheumatology clinics with interest in fertility in rheumatic diseases in the Lombardy region, Italy: Papa Giovanni XXIII Hospital, Bergamo, under the guidance of Antonio Brucato, Veronique Ramoni, Gaetano Pini Hospital – Milan under the guidance of Maria Gerosa, San Mateo Hospital, Pavia- under the guidance of Veronique Ramoni and Brescia Civil Hospital under the guidance of Laura Andreoli and Prof Angela Tincani, all part of the EULAR Pregnancy TaskForce.

Currently, I am the only one representant of our country as a founding member of the EULAR group, "Reproductive Health and Family Planning" starting from January 2022. I also have a leading position in the Pregnancy and Rheumatic Diseases Centre within our Hospital (the first in the field, in Romania), hoping to give as much confidence as possible to women with rheumatic conditions who face multiple fears when it comes to increasing the number of family members.

As a faculty member, in my daily practice I also teach medical students, by regularly holding theoretical courses and practical session, showing them interesting cases.

My scientific activity also consists in:

Publications in Prestigious journals, indexed Web of Science with high impact factor

Invitations for radio and TV media

Invited presentations at national scientific events.

Oral presentations for resident physicians in the hospital amphitheatre.

Coordinating 11 bachelor’s theses
