I am an Associate Professor in the Medical Program at the Federal University of Tocantins, Brazil, with over 20 years of experience in dental sciences. I specialized in oral pathology, immunohistochemical diagnoses, and oral oncology. My Ph.D. in Dental Sciences and my specialization as an Oral and Maxillofacial Pathologist have guided my work in research, education, laboratory, and clinical practice. My research focuses on diagnosing and treating oral diseases, particularly oral neoplasms, odontogenic tumors, and infections such as paracoccidioidomycosis and leishmaniasis. I have published over 26 peer-reviewed articles, 18 as the lead or corresponding author, along with various conference papers in journals such as the Journal of Oral Pathology & Medicine, Clinical Oral Investigations, Mycopathologia, Journal of Oral Medicine, Oral Surgery, Oral Pathology and Oral Radiology, and Head and Neck Pathology.I actively participate in academic societies, including the Brazilian Society of Stomatology and Oral Pathology. I regularly present at national and international conferences, such as the Brazilian Congress of Stomatology and Oral Pathology.

My work promotes innovative diagnostic techniques and contributes to the advancement of the field. Teaching is central to my career, and I am committed to mentoring future healthcare professionals. I integrate clinical expertise with research in my education, helping students appreciate the importance of oral pathology in general medicine. Currently, I am developing a digital atlas, “Desenvolvimento de uma plataforma digital baseada em estudo de casos para a aprendizagem de histopatologia humana,” aimed at enhancing digital learning in histopathology for dental and medical students in Brazil. Beyond academia, I collaborate with healthcare institutions to improve diagnostic protocols and patient outcomes. In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors, gardening, fishing, and cycling, which helps me stay balanced and energized for my professional pursuits.
